Another exciting game was between Balkan and Spartak Pleven where Balkan (1-0) crushed Spartak Pleven (0-1) on the road with 25-point difference 85-60. The game without a history. Balkan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 28. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin center Vukota Pavic (203-93, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds. Serbian guard Pedja Stamenkovic (190-88, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Balkan players scored in double figures. Guard Milen Zahariev (190-92) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Tsvetoslav Ostrev (175-86) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Spartak Pleven. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Balkan will play against Lukoil Acad. in Sofia in the next round. Spartak Pleven will play on the road against Rilski in Samokov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
