Redwell Gunners Oberwart managed to secure a 7-point victory 80-73 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 26-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Raiffeisen Wels outrebounded Redwell Gunners Oberwart 34-20 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Redwell Gunners Oberwart especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American forward Rakeem Buckles (201-90, college: FIU) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Stuart Mann Jr John chipped in 16 points. Naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Maurice Barrow (196, college: Fairfield) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures. Redwell Gunners Oberwart moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Wels. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will face higher ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
