The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated EWE Baskets (3-1) in Quakenbrueck. Visitors were defeated by Artland Dragons (4-0) 92-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of EWE Baskets. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 3-0 record before this meeting. EWE Baskets' coach Sebastian Machowski rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Artland Dragons have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with ALBA and B.Muenchen. EWE Baskets at the other side keep the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Brose Bask. and MBC. Artland Dragons will play against Telekom Baskets (#16) in Bonn in the next round which should be an easy win for them. EWE Baskets will play at home against Walter Tigers (#18) and hope to get back on the winning track.
