Date: October 12, 2014
Magdeburg (1-1) recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Rostock EBC (2-1) 70-65. Rostock EBC forced 20 Magdeburg turnovers. Magdeburg was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for DR Congolese-Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists. point guard Tim Vogt (181-90) helped adding 9 points. Rostock EBC's coach Sebastian Wild allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American swingman Nori Johnson (196-91, college: Charleston) with 20 points and 4 assists and naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-90, college: Dubuque) scored 20 points. Rostock EBC will play against Titans in Dresden in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Magdeburg will play at home against Recklinghausen to get more than just one victory in their record.
