Very expected game when Muenchen B. (0-3) was smashed at home by Don Bosco Bamberg (3-0) 75-54 on Sunday. The game without a history. Don Bosco Bamberg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Don Bosco Bamberg forced 19 Muenchen B. turnovers and outrebounded them 36-25 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Estonian guard Liisi Sokman (166-88) who led her team to a victory with 17 points. American forward Lyndi Thorman (190-90, college: UTSA) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Don Bosco Bamberg players scored in double figures. Power forward Tanja Lehnert (186-92) answered with 14 points and center Katharina Lang (181) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Muenchen B.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Don Bosco Bamberg will face Trier at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muenchen B. will play against Gruner Stern Keltern and hopes to get finally their first victory.
