TSV Amicitia used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Langen 65-59 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 14 points after three quarters before their 31-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. TSV Amicitia forced 21 Rhein MB II turnovers. It was a good game for guard Jennifer Mocanu (172) who led her team to a victory with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Canadian center Diane Schuetze (190-90) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Nadine Ripper (175-88) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Austrian guard Verena Bachler (170-88) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Rhein MB II. TSV Amicitia will face Speyer / Schifferstadt (#5) in Dudenhofen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rhein MB II will play at home against Weiterstadt and hopes to get finally their first victory.
