Bottom-ranked Mazeikiai is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to ninth ranked Lietkabelis (2-4) 76-67 on Monday evening. The game without a history. Lietkabelis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mazeikiai's 36. Lietkabelis forced 21 Mazeikiai turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Zygimantas Janavicius (188-89, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Vytenis Cizauskas (188-92) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. point guard Eigirdas Zukauskas (201-92) came up with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Raimondas Petrauskas (200-79, college: American, agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Mazeikiai in the defeat. Lietkabelis moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Tonybet. Mazeikiai lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with six games lost. Lietkabelis will meet higher ranked Siauliai (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mazeikiai will play against Tonybet (#7) in Prienai and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
