Regular Season Round 2: Vaerlose - Horsens IC 63-91

Date: October 13, 2014
The game between Vaerlose (0-2) and Horsens IC (2-0) in Vaerlose on Monday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Horsens outscored Vaerlose 91-63. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Vaerlose was better in fourth quarter 25-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Marquis Addison (193, college: Missouri So.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 assists. Senegalese center Baye Keita (208, college: Syracuse) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. American forward Drew Maynard (200-89, college: Rochester, MI) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Icelandic Axel Karason (194-83) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Vaerlose. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Horsens IC will face Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vaerlose will play on the road against SISU in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
