DniproAzot (0-1) recorded a loss in Zaporozhye. Visitors were defeated by Ferro-ZNTU (1-0) 89-76. The game was mostly controlled by Ferro-ZNTU. DniproAzot was better in second period 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ferro-ZNTU dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to DniproAzot's 28. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and guard Alexander Rybalko (190-79) supported him with 21 points and 9 assists. Four Ferro-ZNTU players scored in double figures. Even 25 points and 4 assists by American guard Eugene Harris (188-86, college: High Point, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) did not help to save the game for DniproAzot. The former international guard Bogdan Bayda (193-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Ferro-ZNTU will play against Budivelnyk in Kyiv in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. DniproAzot will play on the road against Khimik in Yuzhny.
