Regular Season Round 4: Lemvig - Falcon 84-57
Date: October 18, 2014
The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Lemvig's (2-1) home victory over 5th ranked Falcon (1-3) 84-57. The game without a history. Lemvig led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lemvig outrebounded Falcon 45-23 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Joanna Miller (173-91, college: Grambling St.) who added 19 points and 11 assists during the contest. Four Lemvig players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Sarah Mortensen (183-97) responded with 26 points and 5 steals and guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) scored 23 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lemvig moved-up to third place, which they share with Horsholm. Falcon at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Lemvig will play against Amager in Kastrup in the next round. Falcon will play on the road against the league's second-placed SISU in Copenhagen to get more than just one victory in their record.
