Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Fraport Skyliners II and 10th ranked TV Langen had identical 1-2 record. But TV Langen was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Frankfurt 69-49 on Saturday night. Quite impressive performance for point guard Max Merz (184-94) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 5 assists. Center Tim Oldenburg (202-92) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St.) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Martinis Woody (201-82, college: Benedict) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for TV Langen. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fraport Skyliners II (2-2) moved-up to fifth place in Group South, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser TV Langen dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face Speyer (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. TV Langen will play against the league's leader Wuerzburg and hope to win that game.
