American guard Bradley Tinsley (191-89, college: Vanderbilt) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Marco Grimaldi (188-83) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four MLP Academics Heidelberg players scored in double figures. American Levi Knutson (191-88, college: Colorado, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 24 points and 7 assists and the other American import forward Andre Calvin (201-85, college: Drake) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for BV Chemnitz 99. BV Chemnitz 99's coach let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. MLP Academics Heidelberg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. BV Chemnitz 99 lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. MLP Academics Heidelberg will face higher ranked Hamburg (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
