Regular Season Round 4: Horsholm - Aabyhoj 95-66

Date: October 18, 2014
Bottom-ranked Aabyhoj is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to third ranked Horsholm (2-1) 95-66. Aabyhoj was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 60-26 second half run of Horsholm. They also forced 22 Aabyhoj turnovers. Aabyhoj was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Joy Burke (196-90, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Maja Gerlyng-Hansen (180-88, college: Siena) who added 20 points during the contest. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. Horsholm's coach Roberto Velosa felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Sofie Preetzmann (180-95) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and forward Kia Fisker (185-95) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Horsholm maintains third position with 2-1 record behind leader Stevnsgade, which they share with Lemvig. Aabyhoj at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Horsholm will play against Lemvig at home in the next round. Aabyhoj will play against Amager in Kastrup and hopes to get finally their first victory.
