Date: October 19, 2014
An exciting game was played in Zaporozhye. Ferro-ZNTU faced Budivelnyk. Host Ferro-ZNTU (2-0) defeated guests from Kyiv (1-1) 90-83. Budivelnyk trailed by 16 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 31-20 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 83-90 at the end of the game. Ferro-ZNTU looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Alexander Rybalko (190-79) helped adding 20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Ferro-ZNTU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Denys Lukashov (190-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (216-84) scored 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Budivelnyk's coach Vitaliy Cherniy rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ferro-ZNTU will meet Halychyna in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Budivelnyk will play against Khimik and hope to win that game.
