Regular Season Round 3: BC Odessa - Dnipro 72-77

There was no surprise when BC Odessa (0-2) was defeated at home by Dnipro (2-1) 77-72 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 26-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Dnipro dominated on the defensive end, holding BC Odessa to just 7 points in third and fourth quarters. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89) who scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. International Olexandr Mishula (192-92) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Andriy Agafonov (208-86) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and international guard Artem Slipenchuk (193-89, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points and 13 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Dnipro will face DniproAzot in Dniprodzerzhynsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Odessa will play on the road against BC Kyiv and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
