An interesting game was also tough home defeat of Kibirkstis-VICI in a game in Vilnius versus Fortuna 53-47. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kibirkstis-VICI won third quarter 13-5. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Fortuna won last quarter 14-10. International swingman Marina Solopova (180-90) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Fortuna's coach Ramune Kumpiene used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Chastity Reed (185-89, college: UALR) came up with 10 points and 5 rebounds and guard Egle Sniokaite (175-88) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for Kibirkstis-VICI in the defeat. Fortuna will meet at home Suduva in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kibirkstis-VICI will play against Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
