Regular Season Round 3: Utena - Aistes-LSU 91-68

First defeat of Aistes-LSU (2-1) against Utena (3-0) 91-68 was the most important game of the last round. The game was mostly controlled by Utena. Aistes-LSU managed to win fourth quarter 33-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Utena forced 22 Aistes-LSU turnovers and outrebounded them 37-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for international power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. International center Kristina Alminaite (205-90) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. International power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Neringa Skadaite (179-92) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Aistes-LSU. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aistes-LSU will play next round against Jaunieji Talentai trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Utena will try to continue on its current victory against Ruta-Univ. in Siauliai.
