Regular Season Round 4: Falcon - Amager 60-100
Date: October 21, 2014
Amager's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Falcon, where they outplayed Falcon (1-3) 100-60 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Amager led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Falcon's 22. Amager had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Falcon's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Lauren Gregory (185-87, college: Vanguard) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Point guard Emilie Fogelstrom (166-92) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Amager players scored in double figures. Guard Sarah Mortensen (183-97) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) added 18 points in the effort for Falcon. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Amager (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fifth place. Falcon at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Amager are looking forward to face higher ranked Lemvig at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Falcon will play against the league's second-placed SISU in Copenhagen and is hoping to win this game.
