Pitesti (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by seventh ranked CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu (2-1) 83-60. It looked good early as Pitesti took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu had a 24-18 second period charge getting the lead and Pitesti was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-83. CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu's coach Antonis Konstantinides felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points by Bosnian-Serbian guard Marko Sutalo (194-83) did not help to save the game for Pitesti. Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu moved-up to fifth place, which they share with CSU Sibiu. Pitesti at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Ploiesti and Craiova. CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu will play against bottom-ranked Univ.Cluj on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pitesti will play against the league's second-placed Craiova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
