Everything could happen in Klaipeda at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Nafta-Uni. and 8th ranked Zanavykas had identical 3-3 record. This time Nafta-Uni. used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Sakiai 82-78 on Friday night. Zanavykas was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-15 charge of Nafta-Uni., which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for forward Viktoras Chodosovskis (200-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Dominikas Matutis (180-91) helped adding 22 points. Nafta-Uni.'s coach Rytis Vaisvila allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Paulius Malasauskas (188-91) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nafta-Uni. (4-3) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Zanavykas dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Nafta-Uni. will face bottom-ranked Vilnius Palanga (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zanavykas will play against JAZZ-Diremta (#13) and hope to win that game.
