Very expected game in Wien where 8th ranked Xion Dukes (2-4) were defeated by fourth ranked Zepter Vienna (5-2) 80-70. The game was mostly controlled by Zepter Vienna. Xion Dukes was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Xion Dukes 34-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Amin Stevens (201-90, college: Florida A&M) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Zepter Vienna players scored in double figures. Naturalized Bosnian power forward Ramiz Suljanovic (205-79) answered with 16 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and international center Jozo Rados (203-93) added 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Xion Dukes. Xion Dukes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Zepter Vienna moved-up to second place, which they share with Kapfenberg and Gussing. Xion Dukes at the other side keep the eighth position with four games lost. Zepter Vienna's next round opponent will be Raiffeisen Wels (#6) on the road. Xion Dukes will play against the league's second-placed Gussing Knights and hope to win that game.
