The game in was also quite interesting. Second ranked Perlas-MRU (6-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Rasai (3-4). Perlas-MRU managed to secure a 7-point victory 95-88 on Friday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-14. But Rasai won second period 27-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Perlas-MRU made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for forward Antanas Udras (203-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds. Center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Perlas-MRU's coach Mindaugas Sakalauskas used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Valdemaras Savostjanovas (200-84) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Gediminas Butkus (183-89) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists. Four Rasai players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Perlas-MRU. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Petrochema. Newly promoted Rasai dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. Perlas-MRU will face Trakai (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rasai will play against Zalgiris II in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
