Regular Season Round 7: Targu Mures - Targoviste 67-94

Liga Nationala top team - CSM Targoviste (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Targu Mures (4-3) 94-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Targu Mures. The game was mostly controlled by CSM Targoviste. Targu Mures managed to win fourth quarter 27-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CSM Targoviste forced 22 Targu Mures turnovers. American-FYR Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) fired 26 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Porsche Poole (172-89, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Four CSM Targoviste players scored in double figures. Coach Dan Fleseriu's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Vee Young (185, college: Martin Methodist, agency: Gamble Sports Management) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Antoinette Thompson (170-90, college: TCU) added 17 points respectively for lost side. CSM Targoviste have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Sf.Gheorghe. Targu Mures at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Brasov. CSM Targoviste will meet at home bottom-ranked Craiova (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Targu Mures will play against Timisoara (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
