Final Genclik (2-1) survived in overtime against Istanbul DSI (1-2) by five points 92-87. The game took place in Istanbul. But the guests from Bursa were better at the end. Istanbul DSI was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 14-12 charge of Final Genclik, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 17-12. 26 personal fouls committed by Istanbul DSI helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Reginald Holmes (193-87, college: Morgan St., agency: Two Points) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 6 rebounds. Czech Kamil Svrdlik (205-86, college: Fair Dickinson) came up with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Surinamese-Dutch guard Charlon Kloof (190-90, college: St.Bonaventure) added 23 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Istanbul DSI in the defeat. Four Istanbul DSI players scored in double figures. Istanbul DSI's coach Ali Burgul tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Final Genclik's next round opponent will be Adanaspor at home which should be an easy win for them. Istanbul DSI will play against Akhisar Bld and hope to win that game.
