Regular Season Round 9: Nevezis - Tonybet 64-78

There was no surprise in Kedainiai where 10th ranked Nevezis (2-8) was defeated by seventh ranked Tonybet (4-4) 78-64. The game was mostly controlled by Tonybet. Nevezis was better in fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Nevezis helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Arnas Labuckas (203-87) nailed 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (187-91) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Tonybet players scored in double figures. Forward Vaidotas Volkus (202-85, college: Redlands CC) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Sarunas Kulevicius (194-89) added 19 points respectively for Nevezis in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tonybet have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Nevezis lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Tonybet will have a break next round. Nevezis will play at home against Siauliai and hope to win that game.
