Regular Season Round 5: BC Kyiv - Khimik 73-77

Superleague top team - Khimik (5-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked BC Kyiv (1-3) 77-73. BC Kyiv was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 29-14 third quarter run of Khimik. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American guard Ramone Moore (193-89, college: Temple) nailed 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and international power forward Maxym Korniyenko (204-87, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 10 points and 6 rebounds. Khimik's coach Karlis Muiznieks allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international Ruslan Otverchenko (192-90, agency: Beo Basket) came up with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Maksym Lutsenko (188-93) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for BC Kyiv in the defeat. Khimik have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. BC Kyiv at the other side keeps the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with BC Odessa. Khimik will play against Hoverla in Frankivsk in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BC Kyiv will play on the road against DniproAzot in Dniprodzerzhynsk to get more than just one victory in their record.
