Regular Season Round 4: Sakarya BSB - Mamak DSI 77-61

TB2L top team - Sakarya BSB (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they beat seventeenth ranked Mamak DSI (0-4) in Sakaraya 77-61. The game was mostly controlled by Sakarya BSB. Mamak DSI managed to win fourth quarter 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sakarya BSB dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Mamak DSI's 28. Sakarya BSB forced 21 Mamak DSI turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Sakarya BSB players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Rifat Murat Kaya (194-84, agency: 1x1 Sports) replied with 21 points and American center Jarred Shaw (208-90, college: Utah St.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Mamak DSI. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakarya BSB have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB maintains first position with 4-0 record. Mamak DSI at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Afyon. Sakarya BSB are looking forward to face Gediz on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mamak DSI will play against Mersin and hopes to get finally their first victory.
