Regular Season Round 5: Horsens IC - Randers 82-77

Date: October 30, 2014
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Horsens IC (4-1) beat at home 6th ranked Randers (2-3) 82-77 on Thursday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Randers won second period 23-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Randers' 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: Missouri So.) nailed 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Marquis Addison (193, college: Missouri So.) accounted for 17 points. Horsens IC's coach Arnel Dedic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international guard Chanan Colman (191-84, college: Chipola JC) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) added 15 points respectively for Randers in the defeat. Horsens IC moved-up to second place, which they share with Svendborg and Wolfpack. Loser Randers keep the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with SISU. Horsens IC will meet SISU (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Randers will play against Vaerlose and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
