Regular Season Round 6: Khimik - Hoverla 76-65

Undefeated leader Khimik delivered the sixth consecutive victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Hoverla (1-4) 76-65 in Yuzhny. The game was mostly controlled by Khimik. Hoverla was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was dominated by American players. point guard Derek Needham (180-90, college: Fairfield) notched 16 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Ramone Moore (193-89, college: Temple) supported him with 19 points. Even 16 points by forward Ricardo Glenn (203-90, college: USC Upstate, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Hoverla. point guard Mackey McKnight (183, college: Lehigh, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimik (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Hoverla at the other side keeps the eighth place with four games lost. Khimik's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Halychyna in Lviv and are hoping to win another game. Hoverla will play on the road against BC Odessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
