Regular Season Round 6: Utena - Kibirkstis-VICI 82-63

An interesting game for Utena (6-0) which hosted in Utena 4th ranked Kibirkstis-VICI (3-3). Top-ranked Utena had an easy win 82-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kibirkstis-VICI. The game was mostly controlled by Utena. Kibirkstis-VICI managed to win third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Utena forced 23 Kibirkstis-VICI turnovers. It was a good game for the former international Egle Sulciute (190-85) who led her team to a victory with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Utena players scored in double figures. Justina Kraujunaite (174-95) replied with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Egle Sniokaite (175-88) added 16 points in the effort for Kibirkstis-VICI. Utena have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Suduva. Defending champion Kibirkstis-VICI keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Aistes-LSU. Utena is looking forward to face league's leader Suduva in Marijampole in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kibirkstis-VICI's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vilnius Jaunieji Talentai.
