Yambol can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Chernomorets (0-3) 94-75 on Saturday. The game without a history. Yambol led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 30. Yambol looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian forward Toni Brnas (201-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and American point guard Tyler Laser (185-88, college: E.Illinois) who added 12 points, 8 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Yambol's coach Julian Radionov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Lyuben Paskov (197-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Bogdan Boev (196-82) scored 22 points. Five Yambol and four Chernomorets players scored in double figures. Yambol (1-3) left bottom position moving up to seventh place. It was Chernomorets' third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Spartak Pleven. Yambol will meet higher ranked Cherno More (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chernomorets will play against Balkan (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
