The most surprising game was the first loss of Sakarya BSB (4-1) on the court of tenth ranked Gediz on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Gediz 79-63. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sakarya BSB. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 16 points. American point guard Adonte Parker (183-89, college: Dayton) stepped up and scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center John Ofoegbu (206-84, college: Idaho St.) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Gediz players scored in double figures. Forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gediz (3-2) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Gelisim and Meliksah. Sakarya BSB at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Gediz is looking forward to face Mersin (#17) in Akdeniz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sakarya BSB will have a break next round.
