Rather expected game when 14th ranked BG Goettingen (2-5) was rolled over on the road by eleventh ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (3-3) 98-72. The game without a history. EnBW Ludwigsburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to BG Goettingen's 20. EnBW Ludwigsburg players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by BG Goettingen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Finnish Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valparaiso) accounted for 23 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. American point guard Khalid El-Amin (178-79, college: Connecticut) came up with 11 points and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for BG Goettingen in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to ninth place. BG Goettingen at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg's next round opponent will be BBC Bayreuth (#10) on the road.
