Regular Season Round 8: Targoviste - Craiova 94-36

Second ranked CSM Targoviste blasted bottom-ranked Craiova (0-8) in Targoviste 94-36 on Saturday evening. Craiova is still unable to win any game. The game without a history. CSM Targoviste led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Craiova to just 6 points in third and fourth quarters. CSM Targoviste dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Craiova's 26. CSM Targoviste forced 29 Craiova turnovers and outrebounded them 44-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for CSM Targoviste especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Craiova's players. The best player for the winners was American center Jasmine Watson (190-91, college: Massachusetts) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. The former international center Andreea Hutanu (185-88) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Irina Bors (178-88) produced 10 points and swingman Adina Pop (173-88) added 8 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSM Targoviste (7-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion (7-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Sf.Gheorghe. Craiova at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. CSM Targoviste is looking forward to face Galati (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Craiova will play against Timisoara (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
