There was no surprise when 8th ranked TSV Amicitia (1-5) lost on the road to sixth ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz (4-2) 85-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ASC Theresianum Mainz. TSV Amicitia was better in fourth quarter 28-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ASC Theresianum Mainz forced 27 TSV Amicitia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by TSV Amicitia's players. It was a good game for forward Lilian Koch (180-90) who led her team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Czech guard Karolina Jandova (181-91) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four ASC Theresianum Mainz players scored in double figures. ASC Theresianum Mainz's coach Alexander Schoch let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Jennifer Mocanu (172) replied with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and Canadian center Diane Schuetze (190-90) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for TSV Amicitia. ASC Theresianum Mainz moved-up to fifth place in South. TSV Amicitia lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. ASC Theresianum Mainz will face league's leader Don Bosco Bamberg at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. TSV Amicitia will play against Friendsfactory Germering (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
