Regular Season Round 7: BSW Sixers - Rist Wedel 72-86

Leader SC Rist Wedel delivered the seventh victory. This time they beat 10th ranked Sixers (3-6) 86-72 in Sandersdorf. SC Rist Wedel made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for SC Rist Wedel especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Sixers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a quality performance for American point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: Robert Morris) who led the winners and scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Christoph Roquette (202-82) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Robert Zinn (196-95) came up with 19 points and American power forward Nate Gerwig (206-83, college: Kent St.) added 10 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for Sixers in the defeat. Four Sixers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SC Rist Wedel (7-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group North. Sixers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with six games lost. SC Rist Wedel's next round opponent will be AstroStars (#6) in Bochum which should be theoretically an easy game. Sixers will play on the road against Itzehoe (#4) and hope to win that game.
