Regular Season Round 7: Bakken - Vaerlose 100-70

Undefeated leader Bakken delivered the seventh consecutive victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Vaerlose (1-6) 100-70 in Aarhus. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 60.6 percent from the field. Bakken outrebounded Vaerlose 40-18 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Vaerlose's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Sebastian Petersen (187-95) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. International power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. American forward Drew Maynard (200-89, college: Rochester, MI) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Rob Woodson (180, college: Grand Valley St.) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Vaerlose. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bakken (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Vaerlose lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Horsholm. Bakken will play against Horsholm (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vaerlose will play against the league's second-placed Wolfpack to get more than just one victory in their record.
