Zalgiris II (6-5) survived in overtime against Delikatesas (6-5) by two points 75-73. The game took place in Joniskis. But the guests from Kaunas were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Delikatesas. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 11-point deficit before their 22-11 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-11. Strangely Delikatesas outrebounded Zalgiris II 55-33 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Regimantas Miniotas (206-96) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Vidas Ginevicius (194-78, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Zalgiris II's coach Tomas Masiulis used entire bench in such tough game. Forward Aivaras Galkauskas (203-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Delikatesas in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zalgiris II moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Delikatesas. Zalgiris II's next round opponent will be Silute (#13) at home and are hoping to win another game. Delikatesas will play against Zanavykas (#12) in Sakiai and hope to win that game.
