Regular Season Round 3: Galitos-Tley - CAB Madeira 88-97

There was a minor upset in Barreiro where Galitos-Tley (1-2) was defeated by CAB Madeira (1-2) 97-88. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-17. But Galitos-Tley won third quarter 24-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CAB Madeira made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game, while Galitos-Tley only scored six points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Jorge Coelho (200-78) who led the winners and scored 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American point guard Jordan Aaron (178-92, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Five CAB Madeira players scored in double figures. The former international guard Miguel Minhava (195-83) came up with 29 points and 8 assists and American swingman Brian Clark (198-90, college: Salem St.) added 21 points respectively for Galitos-Tley in the defeat. CAB Madeira's next round opponent will be Benfica (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
