Regular Season Round 7: Wolfpack - Svendborg 110-82

The game between second ranked Svendborg (5-2) and fourth ranked Wolfpack (5-2) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Svendborg was crushed by Wolfpack in Copenhagen 110-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Svendborg. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack. Svendborg managed to win second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wolfpack dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Svendborg's 48. They outrebounded Svendborg 36-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. Wolfpack looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American point guard Ryan White (180-88, college: Texas St.) fired 24 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winners. International guard Gabriel Lundberg (191-94) chipped in 32 points. Five Wolfpack players scored in double figures. American center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) produced 23 points and Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wolfpack moved-up to second place, which they share with Horsens IC and Svendborg. Wolfpack is looking forward to face Vaerlose (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Svendborg will play against Horsens IC (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
