Very important is a home loss of third ranked Fortuna (4-3) against fifth ranked Aistes-LSU (4-3) on Saturday night. Host Fortuna was defeated by Aistes-LSU in a tough game in Klaipeda 57-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fortuna. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 37-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Neringa Skadaite (179-92) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Jolanta Marmiene (181-79) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. International swingman Marina Solopova (180-90) produced 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) added 7 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Fortuna's coach Ramune Kumpiene rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aistes-LSU moved-up to third place, which they share with Fortuna and Kibirkstis-VICI. Aistes-LSU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas.
