Regular Season Round 7: Hertener Loewen - Dresden 90-84

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Titans (2-6) were defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Hertener Loewen (2-5) 90-84 on Sunday. Hertener Loewen forced 21 Titans turnovers. Titans were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Deshaun Cooper (173-91, college: NW Missouri St.) fired 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. His fellow American import forward Robert Franklin (195-81, college: N.Mexico Highlands) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. American swingman Kevin Butler (194-89, college: Texas Arlington) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Philipp Lieser (194-89, college: Cent.Washington) added 18 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Four Hertener Loewen and five Titans players scored in double figures. Titans' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hertener Loewen moved-up to twelfth place in Group North. Titans at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. Hertener Loewen will face higher ranked Magdeburg (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Titans will play against USC Leipzig (#5) and hope to win that game.
