Undefeated leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg delivered the eighth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Oberhausen (3-5) 83-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oberhausen. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and international Anne Breitreiner (184-84) who added 20 points during the contest. Four TSV 1880 Wasserburg players scored in double figures. TSV 1880 Wasserburg's coach Bastian Wernthaler used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Lea Mersch (170-87) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. TSV 1880 Wasserburg (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Loser Oberhausen keeps the eighth place with five games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will meet SV Halle Lions (#4) on the road in the next round.
