It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Timisoara. The game was mostly controlled by Brasov. Timisoara was better in second period 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Britney Jones (172-87, college: UAB) who led the winners and scored 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Her fellow American import forward Carla Bartee (182-85, college: Mississippi) accounted for 16 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side. Four Brasov players scored in double figures. Serbian center Jefimija Karakasevic (191-89) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and Serbian guard Biljana Pesovic (180-83) added 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Timisoara in the defeat. Brasov moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Galati and Timisoara. Brasov's next round opponent will be higher ranked ICIM Arad (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
