Regular Season Round 9: Art.Dragons - Ludwigsburg 71-72
Date: November 15, 2014
A very interesting game took place in Quakenbrueck. It ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Artland Dragons (6-3) to eleventh ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (4-4) 72-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Artland Dragons. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Artland Dragons helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) who saved his team from a defeat with 4 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import guard Folarin Campbell (192-86, college: George Mason) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard David McCray (187-86) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Artland Dragons. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to ninth place. Artland Dragons at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg's next round opponent will be Phoenix Hagen (#15) at home which should be theoretically an easy game.
