Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Royal Hali (3-3) defeated bottom-ranked Trabzonspor (1-5) in Gaziantep 77-69 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-69. Strangely Trabzonspor outrebounded Royal Hali 39-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. Trabzonspor was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American-Bulgarian guard Earl Calloway (191-83, college: Indiana) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman Paul Harris (193-86, college: Syracuse) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Royal Hali players scored in double figures. Royal Hali's coach Jurij Zdovc used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Congolese point guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) replied with 16 points and 4 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (205-88, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Trabzonspor. Royal Hali moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Trabzonspor at the other side dropped to the bottom position with five games lost.
