TB2L top team - Sakarya BSB (6-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Gelisim (3-4) in Izmir 78-69. The game without a history. Sakarya BSB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) helped adding 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Sakarya BSB's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Erhan Yetim (204-87, agency: 1x1 Sports) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Derek Williams (185-85, college: SMU) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Balikesir and Buyukcekmece. Gelisim lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Sakarya BSB will play against ITU Istanbul (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gelisim will play against Mersin (#18) in Akdeniz and hopes to get back on the winning track.
