Regular Season Round 8: Horsholm - Bakken 80-123
Date: November 15, 2014
Ligaen top team - Bakken (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Horsholm (1-7) 123-80. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Horsholm managed to win third quarter 29-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bakken forced 19 Horsholm turnovers and outrebounded them 43-23 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Morten Sahlertz (198-89) who scored that evening 26 points and American guard Semaj Inge (193-87, college: Temple, agency: Blacktop Management) supported him with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. Even 24 points by American guard Rob Fields (185-88, college: Catawba) did not help to save the game for Horsholm. Forward Emil Hjorth (200-96) added 18 points for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bakken have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. Loser Horsholm dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Vaerlose. Bakken will meet at home Naestved (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Horsholm will play against SISU in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
