Regular Season Round 4: Botas - Orduspor 76-74
Date: November 16, 2014
A very interesting game took place in Adana. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Orduspor (1-3) to eighth ranked Botas (2-2) 76-74 on Sunday evening. Orduspor was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 21-17 charge of Botas, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by American forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Armenian swingman Quianna Chaney (180-86, college: LSU) supported her with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Botas players scored in double figures. Even 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by American point guard Tan White (170-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) did not help to save the game for Orduspor. Montenegrin power forward Iva Perovanovic (188-83, agency: Fly Basketball) added 19 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Botas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Orduspor lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with three games lost. Botas' next round opponent will be Hatay (#13) at home and are hoping to win another game.
