Regular Season Round 6: Spartak Pleven - Levski Sofia 72-96

Bottom-ranked Spartak Pleven (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to second ranked Levski Sofia (5-1) 96-72 on Wednesday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Levski Sofia. Spartak Pleven managed to win fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Levski Sofia dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 28. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Levski Sofia looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Spartak Pleven's coach Ilia Stankov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Levski Sofia have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 5-1 record having just -1 point less than leader Lukoil Acad. Loser Spartak Pleven still closes the standings with five games lost.
